Images are not displaying in my local sever!!!!

Hi!

I recently made a copy of my forum and its databases in a local server using xampp in order to modify it with more safety.

However, images are not displayed! Is there any problem with their paths?

Does anybody know what is the problem and how to solve it. Except for the images the forum is working great!

I would start by checking the path to one of the missing images (by viewing the page source, or others ways depending on the browser you're using).

In my forum all of the images are located in a separate file called attachments and in:
attachments > attachment storage type > Move Items to a Different Directory I have given the files path.

The problem is that things are different in xampp (local server) and I don't know what to do.

Ok, I guess I mean load a page from the xampp forum then look at the page source and see where it's trying to load the image from. Then you can decide whether you need to change a path setting somewhere, or if you need to put the images somewhere else on your xampp server.

OK, what browser do you use? I'm saying, just go to a forum page that has a missing image, then view the html source of that page to see what image path is being inserted into the html.

What you can do is setup a fresh forum, if the images don't show there you know it's something in your entire setup i.e. something with xampp, if they do show then you know for sure it's something in the current database could be the board url in the settings, a extra slash or one in the wrong direction it really depends but this way you know to look in either xampp or the restored database.
