Turn daily deal affiliate API feeds into forum content
I have no idea if it is possible, but it?s something I would like to try. I assume I?m not the only one.
I?m sure you?ve all heard of the daily deal companies like Groupon, Living Social etc. They all have affiliate programmes allowing you to publish their deals and earn money from referals. They do this via APIs and XML/JSON. The structure of content of daily deals is all very similar, making it easy to aggregate deals from lots of daily deal companies. Now there are lots of aggregators, for example: http://yipit.com/ http://www.123deal.co.uk My question is, can these deals be fed into a vbulletin forum so we can aggregate deals and making money from them? Anyone else interested in this? Does such a mod exist? If not, anyone interested in building one? VB has a feed manager in the admin panel but from what I can tell it only handles basic feeds. |

My experience of Vbulletin has been trully dreadful. I've moved to Vanilla and I'm delighted to be shot of this awful product. Whoever designed this product has zero clue about userbility.
