Forum Permissions Problem
I've recently gained control of the site and am having quite a serious problem with the past admin's permissions and usergroup settings.
The problem: Users on the forum can have multiple usergroups, the highest of them being Trial Moderator. There is a series of usergroups under that, such as Webzine team, QC Team, and League Member. I've created a section on the forums that will allow the lower groups to discuss things regarding their specific group. I don't want Trial Moderators to be able to view these sections unless they're in the lower usergroups, however, when I deny access to Trial Moderators to a section, they can't view it anymore regardless of their secondary group. What I Need: I need to be able to deny access of Trial Moderators to all the subsections unless they're in one or more of the groups (I have a feeling Members will be the same way, I just haven't gotten to test that yet). I'm willing to do any amount of work to accomplish this, I just can't seem to find any way to do it. I can also provide a screenshot of the permissions if that would help. EDIT: This is fixed now, I ended up just giving each user permissions instead of the groups. |
