How would I make a notice show up a certain day every week?

I tried this modification for 3.7

But it was in Beta stage and wasn't working properly. I want to do basically the same thing as that. So like, a member might want a notice to show up every Monday.. How can I do this without setting the notice to Active at midnight manually? :/ Thanks.

I threw together a simple mod, which I'm attaching - it only allows you to select one day of the week (so if you want to show a notice on more than one day you'd have to duplicate the notice, or else change the mod to allow it).

Thanks to Wired1, whose mod made it easier to figure out how to do this.

Edit: Updated this, now allows multiple days and choice of user's timezone or GMT.
