Is it possible to move Quick Style Chooser to the header?

Hi all! I'm working on a new theme for my site, but am coming across a snag. I'm trying to move the Quick Style Chooser out of my footer and into a specific place in my header. The problem is that anything I try results in an empty box, which if I click on it just says "Quick Style Chooser" . I've done a thorough search of this site and the internet, and all the previous attempts to do this either required making your own selection box which manually has to be updated, or the threads just went without any responses.

That's all I want to know, if this is possible. There's over four years of threads on this site where people have tried to do the same thing, and not one answer.

I like how whenever I post a help request, I find the answer myself. I just followed the directions here, but changed languagechooserbits to quickchooserbits and changed the array from navbar to header:
