Mark Thread as "Checked/Cleaned"

Hey guys,
I had a request that shouldnt take but a few minutes for some of you experts.
I need to be able to be in forumdisplay or showthread be able to "Mark thread as checked/cleaned". All it needs to do is add an image next to the thread title if checked.
The reason being is that it is hard to tell when a moderator has checked a thread or not.

Is there an easy way to do this? vB 3.8
Any help would be thankful!
