Default Bug in Blog Module?

There appears to be a bug in the Blog module, that cause truncation of blog entry.

I have found:

1) I'm having blog posts truncated for some reason. The blog post length is set to 10K so that's not the limit that's causing this problem.

I orignally thought it had something to do with snippet summary length. But apparently there is some other limit that is causing this. There is something that is causing certain blog entries to be truncated, when they include tags. I have tested this with the same length posts, without tags, and there is no truncation.

2) There are two places where a blog entry can be edited, other than original entry. One is at the summary page. the other is at the blog view page.

3) I have found that I can EDIT a blog, at the summary page, and enter the very same text, that's being truncated, and this will NOT be truncated. ONLY the original entry is truncated OR any editing from the blog view page.

I am not sure why this is happening but the only way I can get such an entry to post, is to make the summary snippets unreasonably large, OR make the summary snipped short, make the post, have it truncated, then go to the summary page, and edit the post and add the full post again.

This is very repeatable on my system. Any ideas why this might be happening? Any solution?

Found the problem and solution. Turns out, there is a character that the blog software doesn't like. I noticed that blog entries, regardless of length, were always truncating where there was an apostrophe. But a particular apostrophe.

Works: '
Doesn't work: ’

This still seems like a bug. This second apostrophe is used in types and can find it's way into a post by cut-and-paste operations. AND, it's only a problem in the blog editor. If you paste the same text into the editor, from the snipped summary, you don't see the problem.

Make a blog entry using the ’ and I suspect you will see the problem too.
