Please, does anyone know of a good modification, or how to modify a template to create columns down the sides of my forum?

So far I have tried the sevenskins twin columns mod, which works very well on one forum I have and for some reason will not work on another no matter how I mirror the alterations.
I have to give up and move on from this now as I am getting nowhere fast.

And I have seen the ultimate side columns, which I believe isn't updated for vb4 yet.

Thanks for the tip. I have used 'everywhere sidebars'. I had a column of ads on each side and wanted both sides again, but I managed to make a two column block on the right with this mod and I think it looks better.
