Is there a widget available that detects where the user is and displays their local weather? Maybe have it display a default location if the user doesn't have a location in their profile?
I've found the included widget and others that are available, but they all seem to use one single location. |

I guess this can't be done.

At the Accuweather site (http://netweather.accuweather.com/ad...gnup-page1.asp) you can choose your configuration and it will build html that you can insert in a page (or a widget or whatever). When configuring it will ask you for a specific zip code, but it is pretty simple to replace the zip with a variable containing the user's zip code (which I suppose has to be added as a custon profile field).
I should mention though that I'm not sure if replacing the zip code with a variable is allowed by the license agreement that you're asked to accept. |

Pretty simple? On what planet? On my forum most members don't even give a zip code in their profile, just random 'funny' things like "Main Street". Maybe you could somehow look up their IP and find a nearby zip code from that, but those of us using proxies would get random garbage.
It all sounds more like Rocket Science to me! |

I realize that the OP actually asked for something that would figure it out automatically, but I'd consider that difficult if not impossible, so I thiought this idea might be useful. |
