I do this is on vbb 4.1.4 skin, but it may work fine with version 4.1.x (not recommended for 4.0.x).

Skin is relatively simple, low-key image using the css, but I think the colors are not harmonious, hope you see the demo below and comment.

Skin has two versions of the Full and Lite, Full version comes with background, while the Lite version has no background. You can see demo for better understanding of skin.
