Only one forum lags--any ideas?
Hey everyone. I recently rearranged/reordered one of my sections on the forum. Previously it had a lot of subforums that did not have a lot of posts in them, so we just moved the threads into the main section and deleted those subforums.
Shortly afterwards I was notified that when someone went into that section they would get this error message: Quote:
I went ahead and ran Repair/Optimize on some of our tables, I'm unsure if that was what helped, but now the section loads fine, it just lags. Again, it's only that section that has the lag. Looking at the tables now, there are two with significant overhead--postparsed with 17.5MB in the Overhead column and guestviews with 11.23MB. I would try to repair them but because they're so large and we're on a not great server, that could cause a database error for a few hours. But if they're the ones causing the problem I suppose I have to. Link to the forum: http://www.kh-vids.net/forum.php Section: http://www.kh-vids.net/forumdisplay....-Playing-Arena Any ideas? Thanks in advance. |

Run the rest of the maint programs. Except the ones that say not to unless you really need to. Those in some cases can do more harm than good. That should fix you up.
Is that a game forum or anime? I asked because your screen name is the name of one of the best anime series I've seen. While your avatar is one of the characters from K-ON!. |
