Default Merging 2 vb4 suites

Ok I have one vb4 suite that's been updated from my live site (was 3.6.8). I have another vb4 suite that has some mods installed and a total overhaul of the forum structure but nothing else (vanilla install then added mods).

I would like to take the user tables and pms from the updated suite and import them into the vb4 suite with the mods.

I have tried a couple of times and my admins/mods don't retain their permissions so I know I'm missing something

If someone knows which tables I need and would list them I'd appreciate it

That wouldn't be suggestible to do, you cant simply copy tables, you should use vBulletin's "Impex" program to merge the db's.

I thought I read somewhere that impex doesn't work with the vb4 suite? What exactly would impex do differently? Doing what I want is just a partial import, I'm just missing a table or two.

Why not impex the 3.6.8 db into the 4.x forum?

Because I don't want the forum structure from the 3.6.8 database. Looks like I'm on my own on this one, no biggie. I know I'm only missing a table or two

It doesnt import the DB structure, it only imports the data from the tables into the new tables.

Its suggestible that you read up on Impex and how it works.

Import just the users and PM's from the 3.6.8 DB. Then stop with the import. Remove the import session and you're done. The forums, threads and posts all come after the user import. I have imported just users and PM's many times and nothing else.
