How can I create this grid?? 2 columns split switch
Hello everyone, I have been trying to platy around with the grids to see if I can create one that I have specifically in mind. I want to be able split a column horizontally and place on the opposite site as well as a widget column. Something like this:
Any ideas anyone? |

You want to have the articles go in the red area? I really don't know if that can be done.

I don't believe there is an out-of-the-box way to split the primary content into two widgets in the layout. You will definitely need a custom widget for this.

Yes I want to be able for example to write one article on each of the content sections and ad widgets on the widget sections; or have one long article start at one content section and end in the other. Is it even possible to split content sections at all??
The more I look into this the more I think that for this to be able to work it would have to be a mayor modification. Out of the box vB wouldn't have a clue how to arrange the articles, or probably duplicate them. Seems pretty limited though to have only 1 option where you can place your articles or your content. I'm messing around with some grids I found... will post them if I can develop anything. In the mean time if anyone has any ideas please share. |
