Question about my DB for vbulletin | should I run repair tables on myphpadmin often?

I have a question about my DB for vbulletin. should I run repair tables on myphpadmin frequently?
I noticed that it reduces the size of DB.
I don't know if I am supposed to do this once in a while.

You should only run it if you need it. Otherwise, leave your database alone.
