Urgent - Help
I am moving my domain from old to new.
how to do it? I uploaded the old db into new one. But now the new domain is redirecting to old one. |

you should've edited the forum url to the new url from the admincp settings before moving..
you need to upload the file tools.php from the folder do_not_upload to the install folder on your forum's FTP, then run it http://yourforum.com/install/tools.php, you'll be able to clear the cookie path and other stuff that should get your forum working there. GL |

I still hav access to old forum. So now can I edit the url , back up and then restore(import) to new domain?
later after everything is ok. I will delete the old domain |

if you already moved the databae and ftp files just do what i said, it's a lot easier..
you just need to upload that single file to your FTP where i mentioned and run the toold that you require, you'll get your forum working on the new domain in a few mins. |

I din move the old files(since I had 4.1.3 version in old domain)
I simply installed the new version in new domain and restored the db. It went wrong. --------------------------- Now I changed the domain name in the old domain via ACP, backed up db , Installed a fresh copy . Can I restore the DB (which has changed url) ? |
