Text colors and font not changing in chatboxes and the like

Running 3.8.3. I've installed three different chatboxes (MGC, cChatbox, and Cyb) and they all have the same problem: you can't edit the text formatting options. We can use BBCode but not the dropbox selection fields. I've enabled editing through the chatbox options for all of them but the problem appears to be unrelated. Where do I start trying to fix this?

You'll need to ask in the modification thread why it isn't working for that modification.

It's not just that one, it's all of them. I figure that if a specific mod was the problem, text formatting would work fine in a different one. But it doesn't.

Can you use this function in regular default vbulletin?
