Echoing Blog posts outside of vbulletin

Hello,
Is there a supported method of echoing small excerpts of the blog on separate external php pages?

I'm attempting to build a page outside of vbulletin, and would like to include the members avatar, their username, the title of their blog post, and the date posted.

example (right side bar - http://usmilitarygamers.com/about/)

I figured out most of this code just using simplepie.. Does anyone know how to grab a users avatar?:erm:
