VB4 Forum Classic Versus VB4 Publishing Suite
Hi,
About to upgrade my forum. Obvioulsy VB4 Publishing Suite has many more features, but to be honest I haven't had time to examine each feature. I understand that VB4 Classic Forum is basically an upgrade from VB3, but what exactly is a publishing suite? I love the idea of using widgets etc. Is the pubishing suite significantly different than the VB3 version I'm using now? Do I need sound knowledge of CSS or HTML to use this? I found my way around modifying VB3 with no problem, but I'd hate to upgrade and be out of my league with VB4 publishing suite. I've had a look at this page and boy, there are a lot of new features to consider. But I'm still at a loss as to which version to get because I am unfamiliar with many of the terms - Cross publishing, single member sign in, etc. I would love to get the publisher suite if someone from VB can confirm that it is just as easy to modify as a VB3 forum (templates, colours etc), then I'm happy to go ahead with it (as a rule of thumb I prefer to have features and not use them, rather than want features and not have them). Also I'd rather someone more experienced than me do the change over (paid of course). Anyone? Thanks Reg |

The Suite also comes with ticket support. The forum only comes with one month of ticket support. Ticket support is $80 a year.
