Add space to showthread.php for ads?

I have 4.1.3 and I would like to add a space to the right side of the showthread.php template so I can put in ads. See below for an example of the ad code. But how do I put in the space to move the threads over to the left so I have space on the right side to put this in? I have searched for this and must be doing it wrong. Keep's telling me I don't have enough words in search string. Website is www.huskermax.com/vbbs/

added screen shot/ need space on right side. Showthread is my site the showthreadspace screen shot is another site that has the space with ads. I would like to do that.

Yes, just like in the gopherhole screen shot. I do have sidebareverywere installed but I don't have it on showthread.php. I just want to put this vertical column on the right in showthread. I will use sidebar for everything else.

Look at the 2nd screen shot from the gopher hole website and that is what I want. I have side bar everywhere for all the other pages. But I did not want to put the sidebar on showthread. So I saw this gopher hole website and that is perfect. That is what I want, they have a small box the runs down the right side of there page were they put their ads.

yeah bro that's exactly what im looking for there is also a ad place where u can put them in ur sections as well
