How do I merge 2 forums into one?
We recently just purchased a competitors vbulletin forum and website out. The goal is to redirect the site and forum over to the "main flagship" forum... We would like to merge the posters, the posters info and password and post to the main vbulletin "flagship" forum.
how does one do this and not lose any post or anything from the other forum ? |

the IMPEX package you can download from your vbulletin.com members area should be able to take care of this.
Though, if you are unsure about it (though you should be doing this even if you are sure) install a test forum (you are allowed to have one test forum per license), backup and restore your current database to that forum, and then run the impex to see if you can successfully merge the other forum into it. If you have any questions about the process, feel free to PM me, I'll try to help where I can with info |
