that only shows whos currently in that forum. I did a search for "online" and couldn't find anything like this. Does anybody know if I missed it or if it doesn't exist. If it doesn't would it be hard to create? (for you not for me. I have no idea how to do this sh err stuff.)

I was going to start working on something like that... People don't mind "bumping" into people as they traverse the forums, but they didn't like seeing an overview of what everyone was doing. I think if you canabalized the online.php code it'd be pretty easy to do.

Yes you could check if the users url is forumdisplay.php, newthread.php, newreply.php, editpost.php, etc and then check the forumid if it matches the current forum and look backwards on the threadid/postid and see if it belongs to the current forum. It isn't as easy at it seems but all of the code to do it in online.php if you strip alot out.
