When I promote a post to the Frontpage by clicking the promote to article button, I end up with a new thread. Anyone clicking the "new posts" button sees this thread, follows it to the article and then clicks through from there back to the original thread.

This seems a pointless round the world trip.

How do I stop the creation of a new thread each time I promote a post to an article?

Only one option I know of, unless they've finally built this into vb: [CMS] Use original thread for comments
