Unmoderated posts not showing in New Posts
All new users on my forum are subject to pre-moderation. Their posts don't go public till approved.
In the New Posts listing I can't see threads where someone has made a post that is awaiting moderation. I have to log in to the mod or admin panel to see how many posts/threads are awaiting moderation. Is there a way to have the New Posts list include those new posts that are awaiting moderation? |

You can see posts that are in moderation without going into the admin/mod cp area. Go to Settings > Moderation (bottom left) > Moderated Items.

Thanks Lynne.
For some reason I thought I used to see this in the New Posts list in the first few months of running the forum. As the New Posts is what all the mods usually check it would be useful for mods and admins to see all new posts there whether publicly visible posts or those requiring us to approve. It would save the extra step of going into the mod panel or the Settings > Mod Items. |

I just did a test on my board and What's New shows moderated threads for me. If yours is not, then I would guess either your style has problems in it or you have a modification causing the issue.

Hmm, OK, thanks Lynne. I have only the Thank You hack so it's probably in that.

After some experimenting and turning Thank Yous off, it looks like the problem is not in there.
When an existing thread gets a new post from someone who is pre-moderated it shows up in the list. However, when a new user starts a thread... that does not show up. It's the same on another vBulletin board I run as well. That one doesn't use the Thank You hack. |
