Is this possible to do in vb4? I have done a search and browsed through thread titles and didn't see anything specifically matching this.
I would like for certain usergroups to not be able to view the What's Going On Section at all. Thanks! |

You mean the listing on the forum.php page? You would need to put a condition around the code in the FORUMHOME template.
HTML Code:
<vb:if condition="is_member_of($bbuserinfo, 5, 6, 7)"> stuff to only show to users in usergroups 5, 6, or 7 </vb:if> |

Thanks for the response Lynne. I don't know much of code myself, so is there a specific section in the forumhome template to place this (ex: before or after anything in particular). Thank you for the help as I believe this is exactly what I am looking to do.

Did you look at the template at all? There are these comments right around the What's Going On area:
HTML Code:
<!-- what's going on box -->
code....
<!-- end what's going on box -->

Ok Awesome! Thank you so much for the help. I had taken a look at the code, but didn't know where to place the tag inside the what's going on box - After reading your last reply, I figured out where to replace it so thank you, I also I had to remember to place the closing tag at the bottom of the what's going on after placing the top tag at the top. Thank you again.
