How to add an ad to a guest welcome message?

I would like to add an image to the welcome message along with an ad. (i want the yellow background too)

Example:
http://androidforums.com/
http://www.howardforums.com/

I tried editing notice_1_html and putting in some table and td codes with the ad, but that didn't work. Displayed nothing when viewing it as a guest.
Can anyone help out?

that's because image permissions are on image viewing, now you may be able to host the image off site and link to that pic see if that works or change the permissions for unregistered users being able to see thumbs and images

Why don't you just make a new ad in advertising and show it to just unregistered users, and display it in footer and under navbar and if you want the two top adds

looks to be doubleclick you can put this in there and it will show up but the tables are on doubleclick, you can go there and make the ads like Howards did, or make a new flash ad host it and make your own J/S ad. but that the deal its java that why the pics show up the java script he has on site is in the upload zip
