Affiliates & Vbulletin Forum Question
I recent started adding affiliate links to my site, which hasn't been a problem when I am creating the links myself. However, I also allow my users to post deals they find online as well. Obviously, I want my site to get credit for those links. That leads to my question. Is there any way to "automatically" convert any link posted in my forum to my associated affiliate ID so i don't have to manually edit each post with a link in it? I searched around online but not sure what "buzz word" I should be using so to speak to gather more information. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest checking this program out.
http://www.viglink.com/ I've been using it for years (it was called driving revenue) it will credit you with any affiliate links your members post. regards -Brandon |

Deffo give Viglink a try as the person above says - very quick and easy to setup on vbulletin (or any site tbh).

beyond vigink and skimlinks, are there any other ways to write some code to add something to the end of a link that begins with the same base URL?
neither of those plugins work with BHphoto or adorama. Those are my 2 biggest affiliates. So I'd love to have a system that adds my affiliate tail to a URL anyone posts on the forum... |
