Installing version 4.1.1 (first time user)
After I put in my customer number, I get the following error (this is copied directly from the install page):
Startup Errors Due to the following errors, the install/upgrade can not continue: * Error description: * The database has failed to connect because you do not have permission to connect to the server. Please confirm the values entered in the includes/config.php file I have made multiple adjustments, including putting some items back to how they appeared in config.php originally, yet I can't move past this point. Any help on this would be appreciated. |

Make sure you have the correct entries in the config.php for the correct db name as well as the correct name and pass for the corresponding db.

I have been doing all of the above, but I'm still having issues with this.
Anything I may need to do that I've not to this point? |

Thanks.
Actually, since that was written, vBulletin support has been helping in getting this fixed (I'm new enough to have that support). I did create MySql databases using my webhost, but apparently the hosting site was having problems with the outlets that host those (I could not get into those properly for quite some time). |
