Getting rid of CMS and forum.php
This seems like a question that would be asked a lot but couldn't find an answer. But I was very disappointed with the entire CMS homepage, and spent a lot of time tying to customize it and gave up so i'd like to change it.
The entire forum was in my main directory so the forum would be accessed at test.com/forum.php . But now I am getting a new homepage created, so I dumped everything into /forum where it now shows up at test.com/forum/forum.php while the cms homepage is still at /forum or /forum/index. What I would like to do is just get rid of the CMS all together and just have my forum directory be at /forum or forum/index.php. What is the easiest way to do this? My first line of thinking was to just delete index.php and rename forum.php to index.php but this created a problem because anytime somebody would click the forum home button they'd still get sent to forum.php. I hope I didn't confuse you, any help is appreciated!!!! |
