I get this error message after I tried to delete the threads on my home page. They will not remove from the home page and I can not access the edit button either. I get the same message. I wasn't sure how my tech accessed the portal for the home page. He's gone now so I'm trying to learn the forums in a day http://6frgaming.com/ Any help would be great, thanks. |

After you deleted the threads, did you run maintenance > update counters > rebuild forum information?

Yes I did. I still can't edit or delete the threads on the home page. They have been physically removed from the forum but remain on the home page.

Have you cleared the CMS Cache?

There is no way they can still be on the home page after running Rebuild Forum Information if the posts no longer exist unless you have some sort of server caching going on that doesn't change things.
Have you checked the database and verified they are gone from there? |

Thank you so much. I don't know how I missed it but in the CMS there is a list of articles that were published. I tried to make them unpublished but they would not delete. After clicking on the name of the individual article I then just hit the big red x delete and it was gone.
I'll have to play around with this a bit more but I think they got there by promoting to article. I just have not done this as of yet. thanks again |
