I know there was a mod years ago that you can pull rss feeds from say CNN News and auto create threads on the forum, is there still a mod or hack similar?

If you are running vb4, it is easily done via "RSS Feeds" in your ACP.

Yes running vb 4 this is already in the system ... Create a dummy user which will be used as the poster and set up the rss feed.
