RSS feed images not being displayed

I have some RSS Feeds setup and they are working well except for the fact that if there are any images in the feed those images don't seem to be displayed in the post. I see a link to an img file http://mysitename.com/files/u220903/...ball_200px.jpg within the post but that image doesn't exist on my server. Neither the subdirectory of the image exists. I do have a "files" directory on the server. I would guess that vBulletin is supposed to download the images from the feed into the specified directory. I have looked online and in the manual but I can't seem to find any info about how to fix this. I will point out that the feed will display any images in the post that are from the site that the feed comes from but won't display any images that it thinks should be local.
