Sarcoth's ProfileMod Introduction: I made this Mod to work in conjunction with the Customizable Roster Mod. Although, it can easily be used on its own. This mod will allow you to put certain Profile Fields on their own page for editing. There may be other mods that do this as well, but this one requires no PHP or template edits. Personally, I dislike editing either of those because then I have to remember to make those edits again each time I update. Even though you do not have to edit anything, there is one template edit you can make, but it is completely optional. I currently only have one setting in place for this version and I have no plans of making modifications to this here. Installation Instructions: Step 1: Download the Sarcoth_ProfileMod_vX.X.X.zip file and unzip it. Step 2: Upload the file in the Upload folder to the correct directory: Upload the sarcoth_profilemod.php from the Upload folder to the /forum/ directory.Step 3: Admincp > Plugin & Products > Manage Products > Add/Import Product Import the product-sarcoth_profilemod_v4.x.x.xml file from the XML folder.Step 4: Admincp > User Profile Fields > User Profile Field Manager Select one of the profile fields and click on Edit. At the bottom of the User Profile Field page, find the Display Page section, "Which page displays this option?" Use the drop-down and select: "Options: Other". Do this for each profile field you would like to appear on the profile edit page installed with this mod.Step 5: Admincp > Settings > Options > Sarcoth's ProfileMod Settings Update the settings for your profilemod page. In the Lite version, the only available option is the name of Navlink.Step 6 (Optional): Admincp > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Your Style > Modify User Option Templates > modifyoptions This step is not required and purely optional. If you do not use this step, then these profile fields will appear at the bottom of the General Settings page as well as the added one. Not really a big deal as long as they appear on the new page.Find: PHP Code:

Works fine apart from when you save any changes to your profile it comes up with:
Thank you for updating your profile, {1}. When updating the normal profile it gives the phrase with your username, but on this mod it leaves it out. Any ideas on how to fix? |

Ahhh, I just tested it out with vB 4.1.12 version. I know it use to work for the version it was originally made on. I can only assume something has changed. I'll look into it when I have time since I'd like it to work correctly on my forums as well.
Thanks for pointing it out. |

I finally decided to look into the small matter of a buggy message whenever the user saves their profile. It now display the correct message. Enjoy!

Is there any way to show the custom profile field Group/Category above the Profile Fields to have them separated nice and neatly, and not bunched together?
EDIT: I figured it out. Check out the Attached Screenshot. I always wanted to do this, but I couldn't. Not until I installed this mod. I mean it did take a lot of editing, and coding, but I finally did it. Thank you!! INSTALLED |
