What is vBulletin-Yellow Pages with advertising management?

This addon is a comfortable system for Yellow Pages with the opportunity to manage those entries within the forum as advertisements. Some of the functions are:

• Moderated entries possible
• Additional images in front of categories and subcategories
• Uses the vBulletin integrated search
• vBulletin standards for settings and permissions
• Supports vB-SEO and vB-CMS
• Optional entryfields in categories
• Facebook-Integration
• Thumbnail-Service, link- and banner usage possible
• Google Maps
• Additional images for specific entries possible
• Uses the comment system
• Rate entries
• Widgets supported within the vB-CMS of vBulletin Suite
• Uses vBulletin given positions to place advertisements of the entries within the forum

Installation:

- Upload all files in 'upload' to your server

- set 0777 permission to the following directory:

• /vbyellowpage/backup

- Import 'product-vbyellowpage.xml' in AdminCP

Afterwards import the 'product-vbyellowpage.xml' in admincp.

Then define the general settings in admincp and the usergroup persmission.
Also check the administrator permissions.

Now you can can create categories with additional settings (e.g. entryfields).Optional k?nnen jetzt die Funktionen f?r Google Maps, Premium-Eintr?ge oder Thumbnail-Service etc. eingerichtet werden.

It is recommended to use TMS. If you dont use TMS you need to do the template modifications by your own, have a look at the '/template_modification'-folder within the product file for this.

Hm, I wouldn't bet on it but you can try in a test forum with 4.0.3 thou... I developed it using 4.1.0 PL2 and I know that there aint no problems using this addon from uo to 4.0.8.

But as we know there have been some changes in the versions of the 4.0.x-series with templates, stylevars etc....

I didnt code it for any version below 4.0.8, actually it might work with some of the 4.0.x series. This version doesnt work with 3.x.x at all, Im sorry.

Im a bit confussed to what this product actually does? Can you give a more extended description please, is this an advertising product and what does Yellow pages have to do with it ?

Well, yellow pages is a business directory with/for commercial entries. That's what this addon is there for. In combination with the possibility of using the entries with the build in advertisement manager the user is able to even advertise the (commercial) entries all over the forum; or even sell positions in his forum to companies in order to place their ads in the forum.
