Here's the issue, there is an index file in the upload folder they tell you to upload into your root. The over-rode my index file. So I had to re-upload. Now I'm worried about trying to use this SEO product again. I'll use an FTP this time but I'm still worried it will replace my index file with the one in the upload folder.

I'm sure I did this as well. But yes, there is also an index file in there. It's in the uploads folder then open the vbseo_sitemap folder and in there is an index.php file.

Ah I see what you did you uploaded it wrong. The best way to fix this is to replace your original index file and I would suggest that you hire someone to install the vbseo hack for you. To fix your files just login to your vbulletin members area and download the vb version you are currently using on your site, then take out the index file and upload it to your server. Or if you are unsure about doing that you may want to see if someone can fix it for you.

Yes I already did that so I have the index back. Now I'm working on getting the .htaccess back. Any idea who to hire to do this hack?

Is this file auto generated? --------------- Added [DATE]1294773095[/DATE] at [TIME]1294773095[/TIME] --------------- I'm a bit confused about the .htaccess. I went through my archives and there never was one prior to last night when I uploaded it. Should there have been one? |

No not neccessarily. It depend on if your host put one there if not, then your only problem was uploading into the wrong place. As for who to hire, you can make a post in the Paid Requests area. Be sure to read the stickies in there before you post.
