Is there a way to change user id's like customize them?

I guess it's possible but probably difficult. I saw the other thread - what did you have in mind for ids? Are they sequential numbers but just starting from something other than 1?

Yea I was looking for something other than start at 1, like an actual student number so like using the first two lets of the first and last name and a number, and also if they would be able to log in using that as their username and then have the display name appear as the name
