Everything in the "upload" folder should have been uploaded to your forums root... so if you purchased for example the domain www.vbulletin.com you would upload it all into the root .
Some server have this in www folder or public_html folder or htdocs it depends on your host/server setup. |

So I just installed it onto my root directory and I got a message that I already installed Vb even thought I thought I removed my old copy of the license? I just clicked to upgrade to the latest version and it installed but I cannot log in, which is the same issue I had before why i removed the files and unistalled. Now I get this error when I go to forget password I get a not found page and this link
http://www.bookworm-central.com/www.....php?do=lostpw so its got my current installation and my old link together, how do I fix this? |

Ahh ok the quickest way to fix that is:
1. Create the upload folder again, move all the files back into it, then go into admincp and into the settings to reset the Contact US / URL settings and save the new forum url w/o the /upload on the end. 2. Now move the files back into the root and it's fixed. If you still have issues after that, upload the tools.php from the "do_not_upload" folder into your admincp folder and fix the cookies in both areas. Should be ready to rock and roll . |
