I bit the bullet and bought a PS3
I recently got a PS3, mainly for the blu-ray player, but have been having a blast playing a little game called 3D Dot Game Heroes. Has anyone heard of it or played it yet? It is based on the Zelda genre of games.

noooooooooooooooooo why!!!
I was going to buy it for the blu-ray too. I'm happy I didn't. I ended up winning a bluray player for free at a raffle. I went with a 360. It's more common and overall I am happy I went with it. I hate the ps3 controller, less games, less players. |

I don't play on the net with it. I don't even have it hooked up for that. Not really interested in that part of it. I like the PS3 controller. Pretty much like the PS2 controller, IIRC.
Anyone else have a PS3 and either played the game I mentioned or seen it? |

we are an XBOX 360 household - 3 elites in the house; 1 Wii collecting dust after a month use, and 1 PS3 - use it to play blu-ray movies
nowadays, you can purchase a blu-ray players for cheap |

I thought about the Xbox, but I don't play that many games to warrant it. The PS3 has the blu-ray, plus games, if I find one or two that I can handle, so it was the better choice at the time. Also, I got a great deal on it so I really couldn't pass it up. I'm getting to the age where my reaction time isn't what it used to be so some of the games are way beyond my depth now. That is another reason I didn't go with the Xbox. I might have gone with the Wii if they had a blu-ray player in it and better graphics (HD).

I have 2 PS3 and I am happy with the console itself.
The difference between a 360 and PS3 is community. Yes, 360 does have a huge community because it was CHEAPER and people can afford it (That's why you guys get RROD easily). 360 doesn't have much of a good title anyways.. Gears of War, meh...Halo..no..just drop the subject...Alan Awake? They tried to make it as good as Heavy Rain... PS3 has excellent titles... Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted 2, GT, God of War (Game is a beast), we used to have DMC but 360 were crying to play it and not to mention Final Fantasy...Microsoft paid them and they try to keep it the same level..The graphic could of been way better in PS3 and we could of had Japanase's dub instead of English's Dub. I have 3D Dot and it's an excellent game. Create your own character and play the same style as Zelda. Epic game. Actually, I have 3 PS3..one of them just died on me cause my friend were trying to plug in some cords and it landed on my PS3 :-(. However, I fix it and it's running good. I do have a 360 and a Wii and I am more happy with my PS3 since I don't have to pay service to play online. Doesn't matter if they provide "Less lag" because PS3..I haven't experience any lag at all. |

We have a PS3. Hubby is currently playing it quite a bit with his new Grand Turismo. He's got a steering wheel for it and a whole chair all set up for his driving games. It's cute. We also use it for blu-ray and netflix.

I have all 3 (PS3 / 360 / Wii) (long story) but I basically don't play any of them... of the 80 hours I may have spent on them all year, 75 of them were various Call of Duties on the XBox 360... I like the controller better and it just seems easier/quicker to use... a simple on/off button and eject button, not like I have to slide my finger around to find a sweet spot on the PS3. The headset is easier on the 360, no worry about pairing bluetooths that then need to be kept charged... oh I admit the PS3 is technically superior but Microsoft has them beat on usability... Plus I had netflix streaming for years without needing a disc- that just recently came to PS3 and Wii.

I have been trying to figure out how to set up the wifi on the PS3. I have it across the room from my cable modem and computer and have no way to have them together to make it work. How would you go about setting it up for net access? I do have cable going into the cable channel box (from a cable splitter) which is right above the PS3. And how fast of a connection do you need for Netflix to work reliably?
