Can we set permissions to only allow users to....
register only when they are forwarded from a specific domain.
Example - the VBulletin installation is being used as a Member's Area, so registration is closed, but .... can we somehow set it up so that the PayPal confirmation page (the page on our site that they're taken to after a successful purchase) can be a registration form that will allow the new user to fill out their own Username/email, etc.... and gain instant access. That registration page will have to be inaccessible to anyone not coming from PayPal - ie... it can't be accessible by just punching in the URL or some other way. ----- EDIT::: It seems the Paid Subscription Feature will be able to accomplish this in theory --- any tips on how to make sure the process is automated and that the customer is able to register immediately after purchase and access the forum. Thanks, --------------- Added [DATE]1293676573[/DATE] at [TIME]1293676573[/TIME] --------------- BUMP - More info.... See now that Paid Subscriptions form can only be accessed by an already registered user - from their control panel... Am interested in a custom page that can take an unregistered user (guest), and offer them the paid subscription - process that subscription via PayPal - then return that user to the registration form where they can sign up to become a registered user and immediately access the Forum. Willing to discuss custom work if this can't be accomplished with stock vBulletin PM to arrange |
