How would one do this? I just did a search and all I can find is blathering ppl talking about moving it. I want it gone. I want it so people can put it in their profile, but I don't want it attached to posts. In the CP I went and removed the Location field but it's still there in the post. What's up with that?

go into your admin cp..
then go into templates find the "postbit" template and take it out of that. |

real nice way of asking, and since i am a blathering idiot anyways, i will be kind enough to answer your question.
Go into your templates. Go to the template named "post bit" about a 1/4 from the top, you will see $post information around there. I belive it is $post[field2] im not sure, but the best way of knowing which one to clear out, is the one that reads like this. PHP Code:
