Default Cms Help!

I actually have a couple questions. First of all I have searched for the answers with no luck. Here are the ?'s

1. What does it mean when a user name has a + beside it?
2. What does it mean when a user name has a * beside it?
3. What can I do about the permissions on my cms? I have it set that anyone can read but when you first show up on site it asks you to log in. Please see what I mean by going to the following domain:

*Ignore the //'s I am trying not to be indexed in SE

REMOVED BY ME HEHE!!

Please someone help me with this. I want anyone coming to the site to see the articles written even if not registered.

Thanks in advance.

- The + means you are their friend, i.e. friend request from profile etc.
- The * means they are invisible, if you have that option set in their usergroup then they can login invisible to other members however you as the site admin you can always see them on the site and with a * beside their name.
- The CMS, it's more than likely your cms and/or forum permissions... especially if you have any widgets like recent threads or posts, if you have those enabled and they are private forums it can cause what I call a conflict of permissions per say. Double-check all your permissions .

Check to make sure you don't have Show on Section Widget set to No in Home > hover over section title > click Edit pencil > Show on Section Widget

I did make sure that it was not set to no and it was but I changed it click apply and save. Also went in and cleared the CMS cache.

Is there anything else it could be?

I can't think of anything off the top of my head... keep looking I have had this slip my mind on a few clients sites recently and after fiddling with it a few more minutes I managed to resolve it... you know it's going to be one little thing we are all overlooking as always .

Yeah, I figured it out right after I posted here. It was the widgets on there. One of them. I deleted them and added others that you can see while logged in and it was fine. Not 100% sure what but hey it is working lol.

Yes! Score one for ewebdesigner!

If you can think of which widget it was let us know, we may realize then why it acted that way and reply back accordingly then another person in the future may benefit from your thread here as well .
