Edit profile default settings
When editing my profile on a vbulletin and selecting general options is there a way i can set the default options for these settings and to disable all my users from changing the options in general settings?:
# EMail Notification of New Private Messages: * Receive Email Notification of new Private Messages * Don't receive Email Notification of new Private Messages The forum can send a message to your email address to inform you when someone sends you a private message. # New Private Message Notification Pop-up: * Show New Private Message Notification Pop-up * Don't show New Private Message Notification Pop-up |

You may set those default options in vboptions > user registration options > default registration options. If you then don't want them changeable, you may edit the template and take out those options.
To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.) |
