What size you use on photoshop when you design?

All depends on what size monitor you are designing for, will it be a fixed skin? fluid?

Agreed... more importantly have you checked statistics? Anything telling you what the majority of your member base is using? That along with preference are how you'll go about designing.

I will say with a fixed width you can control all style elements easier that a fluid width.
