Removing 'Register' Control from Login Panel

Hi all,

I'd like to remove the 'Register' control [button] from the Login Panel, offering new registrants an opportunity to click a similar button that we'll embed in a CMS Widget.

Purpose: To route new registrants first to a CMS Page that discusses Registration before they arrive straight at the Registration Process.

Can someone help me take this button 'out'?

You can remove it by editing a template:

AdminCP -> Styles & Templates -> Your Style -> Edit Templates -> header

Find:

			<ul class="nouser">
			<vb:if condition="$show['registerbutton']">
				<li><a href="register.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}" rel="nofollow">{vb:rawphrase register}</a></li>
			</vb:if>

Replace with:

			<ul class="nouser">
			<vb:if condition="$show['registerbutton']">
				<!-- <li><a href="register.php{vb:raw session.sessionurl_q}" rel="nofollow">{vb:rawphrase register}</a></li> -->
			</vb:if>

How would I go about removing the entire Login panel from the front page of the CMS? I want to have those who wish to register enter the forum to do that.

I would like to get the same information to remove the login and display entirely on the CMS page.
