Default Better using vBulletin Cron/Scheduled Task, or CPanel cron? for big boards

Hi guys, few days ago suddenly one of cron from a hack in my forum are not running completed/error in the middle, but completed if running the command manually by opening the file in browser address

it is vbseo sitemap, i already created a thread in vbseo.com here and its solved by changing the cron from vBulletin Cron/Scheduled Task, to CPanel cron

i am afraid others vBulletin Cron/Scheduled Task are not working completed too (stopped in the middle), how to check its working until completed anyway?

do you recommend using vBulletin Cron/Scheduled Task, or CPanel cron? for big boards?

please share your experience and knowledge guys

Nb. I use xcache and fcgi btw

If you want to know if they complete, there is an option when you edit the scheduled task that says "Log Entries" The last line of the cron jobs is to log the entry if told to. If it makes it to the line to log the entry, then it completed the job.

Please how you did it?
What is the command You added to run similar threads rebuild from cpanel or scheduled tasks?

The URL to run is:

yourdomain.com/admincp/misc.php?do=updatesimilar

when its executed and admin loged in, it start the process. But how to login from within cpanel? If not possible, what is the easiest way to run some maintenance task regularly automatically? Thank you

I found this thread while searching for a setting or a mod to notify the site webmaster if a scheduled task fails to run, for example if that task tries to connect to a db but can't connect. Anyone know about such a way to do that?
