Avatar Display Issue
Hello,
I am currently having a problem when users choose to display an avatar. When the avatar is uploaded and dispalyed in a post, a random black box appears over the avatar, and a long black rectangle underneath it. It is really hard to explain so I have a screenshot attached. If anyone could shed any light on this issue I would really appreciate it. Thanks for your time, ThatOneGuy |

It's a little difficult to view the underlying code when your forum requires registration or login to see any individual thread.
Either make the Introductions area viewable by guests (since thread #132, the one you took a screenshot of, is in this area) or provide a temporary login/password so that we can actually see the thread. Once we can see the thread, we can View Source in our browsers to help diagnose the problem. |

I have changed the permission so that guests can view the forum, trying to get the "Guests can view 5 posts" addon to work :P'
Edit: Thank you Eplexx for posting an example. |

Maybe I'm just stating the obvious, but your color gradient is made from a background image that's stretched vertically and repeated horizontally. It looks like whatever style is being used for the avatar region is using that same background image (maybe because it's the same style). ETA: in other words, using the same style for the avatar area makes sense if you have a solid background, but with a background image you'd get that effect.

Are you saying that I should not have an image in the avatar area, but instead use a solid background? I don't really understand. I am new to this stuff. Can you tell me what I could try changing,I could post additional information if it would help.

I was saying (and this is sort of a guess) that the avatar area and the rest of the post probably use the same CSS class, because that works fine for a solid background.
I actually don't really know how to fix it - you'd probably have to figure out what CSS class is being used for the avatar areas and make sure it doesn't specify a background. Hopefully someone else can help you more. |

I just changed the whole postbit layout, and the black went away. Thanks anyways.
