Help: 'Upgraded to VB4 now no styles can be changed
I upgraded to 4 from 3 a few hours ago. I have tried downloading several styles and even tried the style generator. Re did the upgrade script and still no changes. All that I can get to change is the banner and basic icons. No colors, fonts, backsplash, etc change. I installed the styles per the developer instructions and have done seveal on VB3. All are now uninstalled. Did upgrade script again to overwrite any accidental modifications. Syle generator still does not even work for me.
Thanks in advance, Dave |

You may have to run some maintenance first, go to Update Counters and Rebuild styles, you should probably work your way through most of the items on that page, just read the instructions for each and get it all working in the default style before importing more styles.

Thanks, the problem seems to be a flaw with vbulletin, or just mine. If the "Allow Users To Change Styles" is set to no. I cannot get anything to change. If is set it to yes, they I can upload, use the style generator, etc. Then I can set the default and change it back to no.

That is a strange one, mine is set to no and I am able to use the style generator etc with no problems, there are a couple of places where you can set the style selection, one is in the Options menu and the other is on each individual style via style settings in the style manager. If you only have one style and one settings says yes and the other no, you may have a conflict, but that's a wild guess LOL!!!
