Create a User Group, with appropriate permissions. Then assign the User Group to the user.
Lesson learned: Don't re-purpose the Member usergroup, as that group # (i think its #2) is too entwined within vBulletin. For example, it is assigned to new registrations, and I find it very difficult to change. Once admin groups are created, you need to go into a seperate section to add admin status to the user, so they can access admincp. --------------- Added [DATE]1289051829[/DATE] at [TIME]1289051829[/TIME] --------------- I like to use the following admin categories, which may be helpful to you: Guest Admin: short-term or unofficial admins Admin: Standard admins for specific areas. Group Admin: senior admins for multiple areas. admins do the administering, but group admins control specific sections and manage those sections. |
