Increasing CMS Article's Column options.

Hey all. I would like to add more options to the CMS columns. IE: 1x2 articles, 2x2, etc etc. I found the phase that controls at least the naming of the pull down tabs but can't seem to find were I can place in additional variables myself. Here is what I have found so far, but nothing seems to point to making additional insets.

content_layout_select
content_layout
content_per_page
