Insert Object

How do I insert an object into page? I have tried creating a static HTML widget or just putting the object code into a page but neither work?

Oh I just realised... specify the full URL path to the swf file
e.g.

<embed src="http://www.site.com/folder/draft.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="500" height="462"

Changing it to wherever the file is located.
