New Install Question
I installed one Vbulletin but now I am trying to install another new copy I got and can remember how I did it. Having an install problem trying to install it on my Yahoo host.
I forget do I just copy all the upload files into my Yahoo folder I made. (OR) Do I actually have to create a new mysql database for this install also? Thanks RVMAN |

I installed all my upload files into the folder I created on my host.
But when I run my install it keeps saying either I do not have permission or something about socket 4 error. 1.I renamed my config.php.new to config.php and edited the necessary items in my config.php 2. I uploaded all the files in the upload directory to my local host. 3.I renamed the upload directory to the name I edited in the config.php as the folder containing my vbulletin. But every time I try to run the install if errors out? Do I also have to create an sql database or directory myself on my host also? |

If you are installing a new forum, then yes, you need to create a database for it. There are articles over in the articles/Home area on vbulletin.com on how to install vBulletin (including a video by TheLastSuperman).
